Ali Eskandari

Ali has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since the summer semester of 2025 and is currently in his third semester. In his first two semesters, he successfully completed all intermediate examinations (Zwischenprüfungen) as well as all foundational certificates (Anfängerscheine).

Before beginning his legal studies in Germany, he attended school in England and subsequently studied law in Iran. This period not only gave him a solid grounding in legal reasoning but also provided his first practical experience, working as an intern at a law firm and as a research assistant at a chair of criminology.

He deepened his practical experience from September 2025 onward as a working student in anti-money

laundering at Deutsche Börse Group. He has recently joined the renowned commercial law firm Annerton as a research assistant, where he is further expanding his knowledge in the areas of dispute resolution, banking law, and regulatory law.

He brings moot court experience at both the national and international level, most recently at the Henry Dunant Moot Court, where he competed as a Mootie and subsequently continued supporting the team as an alumnus.

Ali is a native speaker of Farsi, studies law in German, and speaks fluent English thanks to his schooling in England. In his free time, he enjoys running and listening to music in languages he doesn't speak. He says the Vis Moot is the World Cup for law students, and he's very happy to have been called up for it.
