Helena Polic

Helena Polic has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since the winter semester 2025/26, after previously having studied English Studies at the same university for a year.

Following the completion of the intermediate examination (Zwischenprüfung) and her first advanced exercise (Fortgeschrittenenübung) in her second semester, Helena will participate in the 34th Willem C. Vis Moot Court during her third semester. In the summer of 2027, she will further broaden her practical experience through an internship at Simmons & Simmons LLP, where she will work in the fields of regulatory law and asset management.

Alongside her studies, Helena has been an active member of Shakespeare Frankfurt e. V. since 2024. She has performed in several productions, including Macbeth at the International Theatre Frankfurt, and made her debut as an assistant director in the summer of 2026. Helena has also been involved with the Lucas International Festival for Young Film Lovers on two occasions: first as a jury member in 2021 and later as a curator in 2025.

Since July 2026, Helena has been a recipient of the Germany Scholarship (Deutschlandstipendium). Furthermore, she has volunteered as a mentor for the “Balu und Du” programme since November 2025, dedicating several hours each week to supporting and spending time with a child from a socially disadvantaged background.

In addition to her native languages, German and Croatian, Helena is fluent in English

and French and has basic knowledge of Spanish and Italian.

Helena is excited to participate in the Vis Moot as an opportunity to deepen her legal

knowledge and apply it in a practical, international setting. She is particularly looking

forward to meeting students from diverse legal background and taking advantage of

the competition’s unique networking opportunities.
