Carlotta Mafalda Böddecker

Carlotta obtained her General Entrance Qualification at Gymnasium Oberursel in 2024 and

has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since the winter semester 2025/26.

She is currently in her second semester and expects to complete her Intermediate

Examination this summer.

Initially, she intended to pursue a degree in medicine and began her law studies to make

productive use of the waiting period before beginning medical school. However, by the time

she was offered a place to study medicine, she had already discovered her genuine passion for legal studies and decided to continue her academic path in law instead.

In 2025 she completed a three-month internship at St. Elisabethen Hospital in Frankfurt,

where she strengthened her organizational skills, resilience, and ability to work in a team

while gaining valuable practical experience in a demanding professional environment.

In addition, Carlotta has been working as a tutor since 2022, teaching English, French,

German, mathematics, history, and politics. Outside her studies, she has not only been an

active member of a tennis team since early childhood, competing successfully in

tournaments, but has also been coaching children and adolescents as a tennis coach since 2018.

In September 2026 she will complete an internship at Taylor Wessing in Frankfurt am Main.

She is looking forward to gaining her first in-depth insights into legal practice and further

expanding her legal knowledge in an internationally oriented law firm environment.

Participation in the 34th Willem C. Vis Moot Court reflects not only her goal to further

develop her professional skills and to acquire knowledge in international sales law and

arbitration, but also the opportunity to grow personally and overcome demanding

challenges.
