David Rost

David studies law at Goethe University Frankfurt with a specialisation in Law & Finance and has already passed his First State Examination. Arbitration has been his subject for some time, in theory and in practice: he completed the advanced training programme on domestic and international arbitration run by Goethe University together with the Frankfurt Arbitration Circle, and spent a summer in a Litigation and Arbitration practice group, where he worked on pending proceedings and researched the 2024 reforms to German and UK arbitration law. What interests him most is where arbitration meets legal technology, and what AI-assisted tools might do for the efficiency of dispute resolution.

Alongside his studies, David spent several years building a media startup, and startup culture has held his interest ever since. He comes to the Vis Moot to turn what he knows about arbitration law into advocacy, and to see commercial dispute resolution up close.
